The Listening Space
Hosted by

Event Details
The Listening Space is a monthly group drop-in (via Zoom) where we gather to connect and be with what’s present in your body. Through attuned, intentional, and titrated somatic and nervous system practices (such as orienting, pendulation, somatic tracking, breathwork, movement, and more), we explore ways to help you build more internal safety, resilience, and capacity.
Lyss, your practitioner and space holder, is trauma-trained and grounded in the belief that your nervous system’s responses are never wrong—it’s your system doing exactly what it knows to do to keep you safe. In this space, we don’t force change. Instead, we learn to listen, get curious, and over time, create the conditions for something new to emerge, at your body’s pacing.
What to Expect
- Attuned, intentional & real-time nervous system support from a trauma-trained somatic practitioner (Alyssa!)
- This isn’t a workshop with a theme, it’s a place to connect, a space to arrive as you are, to let your nervous system be supported, to listen and get curious, and to be held in community.
- You can ask for 1:1 support (if you don’t mind sharing and being held in front of others) or I’ll provide group support (practices, education, etc.) based on what’s coming up for the group!
- There will be NO recordings; live attendance is required to preserve the privacy of the group.
You’ll leave sessions with…
A deeper understanding of your nervous system’s rhythms and what does and doesn’t support it
Practical somatic practices you can use outside each session
Greater trust in your body’s cues
More clarity on what yes’s (safety) and no’s (boundary violations, unmet needs, etc.) feel like in your body
An experience of being met without pressure or fixing
